I'm trying to link these bones to the biped so I can link constrain the IK handle on the bones to the gun so the character's non trigger hand will stay on the gun without me having to hand animate it. When I link the root bone everything seems fine, but with the other bones... not so much.

Any ideas? Thanks!

You can make some switchs such as Biped > BNs, it's the same progress as IK/FK, then easily you can switch and do what you need.

ok thanks, I'll have to try that later. My brain is so fried right now I don't even know if what I was trying to do would've worked anyway. *sigh*

Best...biped... screenshot...ever...Biped...is..evil *gets up from chair after falling down, laughing*

Okay, for the hand holding the gun use "Link" to attach the gun to the hand. For having your other hand stick to the receiver, select the hand, use biped menu (No Figure mode, just your standard animation mode) ->Key Info-> IK -> Set Key, Set Radio Button to Object, select your gun part, Set Sliding Key.

Now your hand sticks to the gun, but can be animated seperately and you can use the "IK Blend" spinner to stick/unstick your hand with carefully placed keyframes.

Have fun

Chris
