View Full Version : Newbie rigger problem - flying head

I rigged my character and have everything working, except when I try to rotate the neck joint, the head goes the opposite direction, and instead of rotating around the point, it goes outward, completely off the body. I'm sure I'm missing something simple, but I've redone it about four times and I'm doing the same thing that I did to the rest of the body. Does anyone have any idea what might be going on?

Looks to me like you've constrained the head jnt to the neck control curve. I could be wrong, hard to tell. Maybe you could post the scene?

seems a problem with local rotation axes....

how did you rig the head (hierarchy, constraints, connections, ctrls, etc etc) ?
tell us step-by-step or post the file though.
