I have some problems with the area shadows. They get very "noisy" anyone have an idea why?

looks okay, i don't know anything about the shadowthing you mentioned, however i can see that the perspective is way off, now i don't know whether or not you wanted it to be that way of course, but it looks really strange to me...
keep it up though!

The shadow problem may be due to shadow resolution....depends on the software you are using. In maya you get this on dmap shadows when the resolution is too low and the filter is too low. Also may just be antialiasing quality setting on shadows. Check the help manual.
It's a good start. If you're going for anything other than a "showroom" look though, I would dirty it up some for realism. Dirt, scuffs, scratches, soap scum, toilet bowl ring....these take time but add a sense of environment.
