That was a little rude lol. You have to realise this forum is known "worldwide" and many cultures and languages all come together hear and speak english. Some not as good as others but you have to respect that.

Welcome in CG, I'm quite new here me too, and I write english like a dog; lol.
Normally I speak italian. Here you can learn reading all messages and see what people do.
When you got some question about how to do... and so on. That the right place to put your question.

enjoy your C4D app

Soft is like a uniform blur shadow, area create a real shadow. Neartest shadow is quite hard and far shadow is blured. Pay attention using area shadow because they can take a long time to render !
Remebre to take ur C4D manual is good explained the difference between Shadow - area, hard and soft.

For soft light - can't be render as a visible light source and the light expand it self from his origin in all direction (like a TV screen, PC screen for example). And yes time render increase a lot. Better to try with a distant light... like a sun or distant light.
