hey there,

I have had this issue surface again and again. when i import a model from zbrush and atatch an normal map to it, everytime i try to apply a Tangant property on it it seems to fail. this problem had occured on my previous system but it went though i'm not sure what i did to fix it.

so its back and i'd really love to understand why XSI does this sometimes?

it will only apply if you have a polymesh object selected. if, for example, you're editing UV's and have something selected, it will fail because you're in a subcomponent mode. same with verts, faces, etc. If it fails, just hit spacebar to clear your current component mode and then reapply it.

Also, afaik you can't apply a tangent to a mesh that doesn't have UV's.
