CGTalk - dynamic bitmap path

I have a bitmap in my material folder that I want to link to a jpeg holding the same name as my max scene.

Is this possible to automate, so when I change for example background05.max into background9.max, that the bitmap points to background09.jpeg instead of background05.jpeg?

Maybe using a #filePostSave callback?
