View Full Version : Easiest way to remove all animation?
adam|zeliasz 07-21-2009, 04:58 PM I have a character I was skinning and I'd like to remove all the keyframes I set when checking the deformations. Is there an easy way to do that so I know everything is removed? I'm new to character animation so any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!

well, the easiest and safest way to do it is to have an SRT group for all of your bones. if you do, you just hit Animation->Remove Animation->All from Marked Parameters. If you just select your entire rig it will destroy it, since constraints, expressions, links, etc are all considered animation, and will be removed in addition to keys.

Actually when I did that the skeleton moves with translation, but any rotation and the bones dont move. If there a way I can create a new skeleton and use the same weight map that's on the mesh? I dont want to revert to an old save since I tweaked the weighting to exactly what I want. I'm also out of undos. :(
CTRL+E will bring up the Weight Editor. You can save out your weight map from there.

well, normally you don't have bones translated.. i mentioned 'all from marked parameters' thinking you'd have the rotation transform selected, but you can also use Animation->Remove Animation->All Animation, Any type (or something along those lines). i usually just use the marked parameters function myself
