check mute? make sure u speakers didn't just happen to blow out?

Do the following in this order :

Check that your volume setting in the OS is not set to mute, or just all the way down.

Check to make sure the volume knob on the speakers isn't turned off or all the way down.

Check to make sure the power button on the sub-woofer wasn't accadently turned off. (I hit mine with my foot all the time)

Check to make sure the audio cable from the PC to the speakers is still plugged in.

Check to make sure the cable(s) connecting the speakers to the sub-woofer is still plugged in.

Check to make sure the speakers are getting power from the wall outlet.

Uninstall the software and drivers (and delete the folder on the hard drive) for the soundcard then re-start the computer. Let the OS auto-detect the hardware again.

Re-install the software from the original CD that came with the soundcard.

Download the latest Win 2K software and drivers from the soundcard vendor's website and install it.

Again check the stuff in the order I listed them. 9 times out of 10 it's something simple like a loose cable or power cord.
