View Full Version : Skin detaches from biped when animated

Hi guys

I have a working rigged character using biped, but when I start making keyframes the skin stays still and only the biped moves. When using the rig without keyframes the skin doesnt detach and deforms correctly.. im using Max 9.

Any ideas why this happens?

Hi..
Check if the skin modifier is switched off in the stack or keyed off during animation.

Also, putting modifers like edit mesh along with mesh operations (changing your number of vertices etc...) modifiers on top of your skin modifier tends to **** things up.

thanx guys! Turns out I just had to do a bit of rearanging in the modifier stack. thanx for your help.
