View Full Version : Illustrator (Sample Color for Gradient)

Is there a way to use the eye drop tool to sample a color for a gradient? For example, if I have a raster image as my reference, I want to be able to sample one of the colors from it for my gradient.

Right now I'm doing this tedious work around, where i sample a color, and have to save it to palette.

Click on the gradient slider you want to change the color of, then select the eyedropper, then hold Shift (Mac) and select the color with the eyedropper.
