Edit: I reinstalled the drivers and everything is fine now. Sorry for not thinkin of this before I posted. :banghead: :cry:
My moniter for some reason or another makes games at certain resolutions all off, and when I say off I mean horizontally. To where there is 3 in. of black to the right of my moniter. So I thought this had something to do with my refresh rates so I changed them using nvidia refresh tool to what one the online vendors of the msi-ti4200 card said it ran at. But now when I try to get into a games my moniter goes black and the screen looks like a television with lines jumping around and says"
Attention out of range
H97.9KHz V149.8Hz
Does this mean that the refresh values i implemented were to high? Thats what I assumed so I went back to the nvidiarefresh tool and hit the "set defaults" key, and restarted my comp. But it still says the same thing! The refresh rates are:
640x480 = 150
800x600 = 150
1024x768 = N/A
1152x864 = N/A
1280x720 = 120
1280x1024 = N/A
1600x1200 = 72
Now I have no idea why it says N/A for some!?
These are the values I tryed offhere (http://www.viperlair.com/reviews/video_graph/msi/geforce4/ti4200/ti4200_2.shtml)
640x480 8/16/32 bit colors at 150 Hz
800x600 8/16/32 bit colors at 150 Hz
1024x768 8/16/32 bit colors at 120 Hz
1152x684 8/16/32 bit colors at 120 Hz
1280x1024 8/16/32 bit colors at 100 Hz
1600x1200 8/16/32 bit colors at 85 Hz
1920x1200 8/16/32 bit colors at 75 Hz
2048x1536 8/16/32 bit colors at 60 Hz
Also I just noticed the little cursor bar that comes up when you type blinks rather annoyingly. Can someone please help me out and tell me where I screwed up.
