hi all, am rigging a small car character using a lattice and i had a problem with the lips as i used joints to drive them instead of making blend shapes, but when i parent the controllers to the head joint or the front body ctrl everything goes wrong, as the lips don't follow the car, they move separately. i've attached the scene and the controllers are parented under cc_drive.
any help will be appreciated

Hey really neat little car, and the rig seems to be coming along.

The issue your having with the 'lips' controls is simply a double transform between the lattice and the skinCluster.

fix it:
1.) open up your relationship editor> deformer sets.
2.) select the ffd1Set (lattice) on the left hand side, and remove the geometry (upperlip, and frontx) by un-selecting it on the right hand side.
3.) Parent constrain, or parent the controls groups (cc_lowlip_open and grp_cc_upperlip.) to the nose joint.

better if you do this yourself, for learning whats going on.

sorry to have to tell you but your car has other issues that need fixing.
1.) antenna, spline control curve (copyOfcspl_ant01) needs to be under the main control somehow, somewhere in the hierarchy....still, since its dynamic it wont follow along while animating the car.
2.) I notice the aim constraint for the eyes is bad, for some reason.
3.) the rear left tire, has a squash defomer that seems to out of scale with the others.

That's it for now, I think.

good luck! :)

hllolloiaaaa thanks joel3d alot..u r awesome it worked gr8
am working on those issues right now, i don really know y the aim constraints not working as they should the problem when the car moves in the -z,
i tried the antenna and it works fine it doesnt follow the main ctrl in time but when setting keys animating it follow and it follow the global move..
if u have anything in mind which may be affecting those aim constraints plz tell me
and thaaaaaaaaks loads
