neversong 07-30-2003, 04:37 AM hello.
I worked on this reel few months ago.
Now, I am just about to pull out a new one including my new model, Arnold.
Please check the WIP thread if you haven't yet.

man its unfortunate that alot of people arent gonna see it cause of the size, ive only downloaded it cause I was doing 250k and it still took 5 mins.. heh
it was good to watch, I love the facials on the yellow guy and the quality of the images is just amazing compared to most reels Ive seen (hence the size?)... on a bit of a crit side I guess its not really specific to a certain area being that you are a modeller/animator the reel doesnt feel strong enough on any of the sides tho...
the animations are good but it would be great to see other things using more weight.

cool!
good work, as a small crit, the walking guy didn't really look natural to me, can't say what's wrong though...probably me :)
ow and another thing, why is it so freaking big??? it's good quality, true, but still, 112 meg?!?

Thnx guys.
MaTaDoR: I was thinking exact same thing. I think it's really hard to prepare a reel for both modeling/animating... cause both aspects limit each other a lot. and the quality..lol... yeah...that's why I stick to large file size...:D Thank you!
kerux,marsellus: thnx. :)

Hey Man, I really want to be able to see your clip too!
Use something more universal.
Sorenson3 isn't bad.
set keyframes to every 45
set limit data to 256kb perframe max
keep sound on mono just for the demo post and it should nock it down to a manageable size.
Thanks!

Dude, I just saw the demo! I thought it looke really good and very on target for what you looking for.
I also tried saving it at a different size 320*240, keyframes every 45 and 256kb per frame and it came out under 18mgs. You might want to try and shrink it a little.
But back to the content, I really liked it.
