Hi Sanciok. Over all a real nice piece. The hair is great. The temple seems like it may go back to sharp. Does that make sense? Just past the eye where the front of your face meets the side. The bend looks a little sharp to me. I really like the lips and the coloring around the eyes. HTH

This looks good. Is it possible for you to attach a picture of yourself? The one thing that bugs me right now is the blur in the background, I see what you were going for, but it does not seem to work. Try adding a background that has blur added to it so that the existing blur blends in instead of standing out against the background. But I would also like to see a shot without the blur added.

very nice work.....
the modeling is nice man the texture is cool too (i suck at texturing:p ) but the hair is the best in the hole scene....the shirt deserves a bump map and there's too much dof there man...i think it's a nice piece congratulations:thumbsup:

Well... About hair... some are painted.... and others are simple NURBS patches with a pocedural material...

Go on with comments!!!

Thats nice work sanciok. I would dig seeing how you made the NURB patched hair since my hairmodelling always look like wet old hay instead of hair.
If you could post some screenshots or a minitutorial it would be great, man.
Other than that its a good render, except for the strange DOF on the ears but the texturing is wonderful. Bodypaint?

Its a real great image. The DOF looks wrong, simply because its far too extremely out of focus and too suddenly. Its should basically be not so blurred. For the ears to be that blurred you would need far LESS Dof than you are showing- in other words the plane of the eyes would be sharp and the rest would quickly go to meet the degree of blurriness of the ears. The main problem with c4d dof facility is acheiving subtle shifts of sharpness which simulate real camera lens peformance. One does need a bit of experience in real photography to understand how dof works. Everyone is however exposed to 'real' dof everyday, simply by looking at TV, and so instinctively sense when the effect is 'wrong', without necessarily being able to put it right.... The plug-in 'Real DOF' attempts to simulate correct dof
of 35mm camera lens.

Martin: in this case is not a matter of C4D... actually the dof was added in Photoshop... and just because i liked it... :)
anyway u're right it's wrong!!
