View Full Version : Animated Opacity map in Position object
savat 07-18-2009, 01:52 PM Hi all,
I've a simple but frustrating (for me) question:
can the Position Obj operator use also an animated gray/opacity map?
after some experimnts, my particles positions don't follow animated maps or animated volume selection sets.
txn in advance and sorry for my english.

Wait so your trying to get particles to be born over an object with an animated black and white map?

Spawning from animated texture maps has been a bit picky in my experience. The only thing I know works pretty much 100% is a plain image sequence, as a bitmap, in the diffuse slot of the object's material. You can use the Render to Texture function to bake out any procedural maps you have animated.

I've also used this method in my experiments but this need mutch more particles cause I need strongly filled plane to obtain an optimal quantity of mapped shapes or planes whit a lowly scale.
JonathanFreisler: I've no understood your reply, sorry.
