View Full Version : Surface Shader Alpha Question
BobProductions 07-18-2009, 08:29 AM I have an hdr image that I would like to apply to my scene. This however is posing to be problematic because i need only my main object to be visible when the alpha matte is used. Currently, some of this surface shader is visible in the renders. Does anybody know how i could make this shader (which is applied to a giant sphere around the entire scene) to be made transparent in both the alpha layer and all visible layers, while still lighting up my scene. I may be phrasing things a bit wrong, but i'm a noob, so... sorry about that.

Turn off primary visibility for the HDR sphere.

Thanks for your quick response, but can you tell me where this setting is located?

Just open the attribute editor for the sphere, should be in render stats I believe.
