Is it possible to setup the selection tool in Maya to only add faces holding down the shift key, so that it will not unselect faces that are already selected on a second pass.

go to window -> setting/preferences -> hotkeys

mayby u find what u are looking for. i didn`t

I thought maybe one of the Cryptic options under Settings/prefs /preferences/selection might be what I wanted, I am not sure what any of the "modifier" check boxes do.
