I hear Discreet ditches Deep Paint last minute. Someone wasn´t satisfied with the implementation. Can anyone confirm these news?

There is no Deep Paint feature in the r6 info on www.discreet.com

The initial release info on 3d-palace clearly stated there were supposed to be a licensed Deep Paint engined included in r6.

Ah well.

3dtotal changed their release thing, and it has a disclaimer at the top that says Discreet might change it...

sorry guys, it's nothing personal :)

it's just to keep things tidey around here so that sorting the threads by title will produce a nice list by category.

as for the deeppaint thing, the poster of the release info on 3d-palace also posted in this thread with some more info related to this.

Apperently the integration wasn't satisfying so they decided to remove it for now rather then give us yet another half-baked feature

thanks for cooperating btw.

and yeah there's a MAJOR echo going on ;)

cheers
