Hello Everyone..

I just graduated from Vancouver Film School and this is my Demo Reel from the visual effects stream. Its called Là-Bas, which means the damned or down under. Hope you guys enjoy it.

Done over a period of six months. Primary software used is Maya. Sculpting in Zbrush and compositing in Nuke.

Cool stuff. Like a lot the color palette of your reel. I was really impressed of your Matte painting, very good work with that.
My only comment would be about the texturing of the character. Seems like it needs more detail in order to be more convincing. Everything else looks pretty solid. Good job.

Very Nice, only sugestion is the finger nails could use more detail/creases/ect but otherwise very cool =)

Thanks David, I wish I could do more work on the texture too :) really wanted to make it as realistic as i could ..

N thanks Tony, in my defense all I would say is it was just a 2K map for the whole arm so thats y it ended up being a little less detailed on the fingernails.. hehe.. but next time im gonna plan ahead if I have an object thats coming sooo close to the screen to have a separate bigger texture map .. but glad that you liked the reel :beer:
