View Full Version : Rendering : texture not showing
blue2k 07-29-2003, 07:20 PM ok ive noticed an odd problem in my max 5 recently. ive made a vehicle which uses two 1024 x 1024 textures, so ive added them to the model as a multi-sub-object material (because this is for a game) they display fine and look good, so i thought id take the time to make a decent looking render, so i added a couiple of photonic lights and set my render to use those (default max photonics nothing fancy. but when it renders, only 1 texture is displayed the other seems to have dissapeared from the render, it is still present on the actual model it just will not render. anyone have any ideas why this may be? its really bugging me now ive been at this for a week and still no luck.

Please read the sticky containing some general rules related to
posting in this sub-forum of CGTalk.
you can find the thread HERE (http://www.cgtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=57917).
I have edited your thread title now so people searching for
answers in certain fields [modeling, lighting, texturing] can find
those threads more easily.

well the title is more precise :)
but i did do a search for this or a similar problem and didnt find anything that would help me. ive read your ground rules for asking questions here and i can assure you my version of max is not a warez copy and i have a good understanding of modelling in general (just in case you were wondering :) )
i can only implore anybody that knows exactly what this problem may be to post a helpful insight or a worthy link.
