here is my first sketch and idea for this challenge, thought of sketching an event happening in the old city of Damascus adding some fantasy element to it.

i went back to the characters and worked on them more. i think i should have done this earlier. the man is a magic script reader and a psycher while the boy is the physical form of part of the reader's soul which got split in a tragic accident long time ago.

Nice character designs... but if you're wondering why you haven't received many crits, it's because the Image part of the contest already ended... maybe you should just post in the normal WIP forums?

wow :P no wonder am not getting any comments ... but i thought the dead line on the 11th of september +_+ when did the image challenge end ?

any way thanks for telling me, looks like i will finish the painting and put it in my gallery :P

I know, it's really confusing with the big "Sept. 11 deadline" on the banner. But they allow extra time for the videos, which of course take longer. The Image deadline was about 9 days ago. I'm sure it was in the FAQ somewhere, but it was also on a countdown timer (now expired) when we were submitting WIP images. Better luck next time! :thumbsup:
