View Full Version : the next step from trimming surfaces
halogenic139 07-29-2003, 06:10 PM i recently learned about trimming nurbs in maya, however now i am stuck with flat surfaces once they are cut. my question is how can i make them 3d?
can i loft the cut curve out to make a more 3d object?
thanks for the help

just select the trim edge and select another isoparm or curves and try the usual nurbs surface tools, ie loft, bevel, etc
when you do a project them a trim on a plane you get bad rims, just increase the Crv Precision Shaded under Nurbs Surface Display in your Attribute Editor.
But thats only viewport related to increase the actual render quality go to your Tessellation drop down and play with those setttings but they should already be good to go.
