Hi!

I am trying to create a Dungeons and Dragons type map (or whatever other such game you might think of).I have searched for photoshop styles for the various types of terrain, but with no success.
From your experience, maybe you know any places from where to get photoshop styles for sea, mountains, forests, hills, plains, rivers and such.Or any tutorials on creating such styles or deal with map creation (I have found such tutorials on youtube, but they are quite primitive since all the elements in the maps are created manually, not only the shape, but also the look and texture).
Thank you in advance!

Best regards!

I'm not quite sure I understand your requirements here. Are you asking for styles that affect your lineart, or are you asking for preset image swatches that portray different types of terrain?

Unfortunately I can't think of anywhere that you'd find either of those, but if you're needing the latter, you could always try making your own from photos. Remember you can easily make tileable textures using the Offset filter, and you can easily make photos look illustrative with some hand-painted adjustments and filters. If you're planning on drawing a lot of maps, it may be worth your while to invest some time to make your own unique set of terrain tiles.
