go ahead and post an image of what you are talking about and we'll see if we can help with your problem specifically. :)

I cant because Im on linux and dont know how to! Its basically when you revolve a spline and the resulting nurbs sufrace has a hole in the centre - how do I fill that hole? Or merge thos points?

When you create the spline you should grid snap the ends of the curve to the axis you will revolve around. Then when you revolve you won't get a hole because the points will all be at the center point.

if you have it installed, Linux (redhat} has a sceen capture program fire it up and get a screengrab will be easier to help ya out

or just do a render :)

yep, i second what pyromania said. make sure you do that grid snap of the first point on the curve before you revolve (and then make sure you revolve around the correct axis).

Ok, so If I grid snap the inner point of the curve then the revolve will not have a whole. I'll have a look...

ok cool that seems to have fixed it. I would like to know how to fill a whole like that on a general nurbs surface so I'll post a pic tomorrow when I get to work...

well... its not just snap them to the axis.... what it is, is snap the end points to the same X and Z coordinates of your curve's pivot point. (maybe in the settings, it might have a revolve around pivot or revolve around world origin, you could check) :D

surely tho, if i just snap the points to a grid than there will still be points there -(they would just share the same space). I have tried the revolve with the curves middle snapped to the grid and it creates a surface with a black circle in the centre (a shading problem probably due to there being multiple points in the same space)

Yes. That is the nature of nurbs. Mathmaticly a nurbs surface is a square. you will not be able to make it radiate from, or revolve around a single CV.

I hope thats helpful, though it isn't much help :)
