View Full Version : Pan tool gone crazy

Hey guys,

I've been getting this odd problem for about a year now and have noticed it through CS3 and CS4. Sometimes, while on the magnifying glass after zooming, when I pan somewhere, my screen immediately jumps very far in one direction while zooming in and out really quickly. Other than my patience, the only thing this seems to affect is occasionally reseting a transform if I'm in one.

This seems to happen more on larger images. I've been getting it a lot today and I'm working on a 20,000x20,000 pixel image (don't ask).

If anyone has any idea what could be causing this, please let me know! Thanks a lot :)

Far out. I never saw this before until... just last night. Couldn't figure it out.

Haven't seen that yet.

Sometimes I get an unintended zoom when I brush the Wacom pad. I should disable that touch strip; I never use it.

Sometimes the pan tool refuses to go away and let me have another tool. There are many mentions of this issue online, but seemingly as many fixes for it, too. Somehow it goes away after a wait. Or a reboot.

This used to happen to me all the time too; eventually I disabled the touch strip to avoid it. I'd be curious to hear whether or not the original poster is using one.

I get the problem with and without it actually. I only plug in my wacom when I need it.
