London, England, 802,701 A.D.

This was done in ZBrush version 1.55b.

This came out as a result of the Monday Night Challenge at the ZBrushCentral forum. This bi-weekly challenge was head modelling.

I'd just finished reading H.G. Wells, "The Time Machine", so I thought I'd do an interpretation of the character, Weena, from that novel.

The head started out as a cubical skin. I multi-marked together a cube for the head and a smaller cube for the head and then I polymeshed them together and made a cubical skin out of them. I smoothed the cubical skin a couple of times and finished modelling my head from there. The body is a ZSphere object and the clothes were modelled from a copy of the same body ZSphere object.

I used the spherical blend material for the green parts of the clothes with the colorize specular set to a reddish color.

The hair was done with the snakehook brush and then further enhanced via post-work in ZBrush after baking the image. I used the smudge brush and the simple brush with the "color once" option selected in the picker pallette and the highlighter brush to add the highlights to the hair.

C&C Welcome.

Great work:thumbsup: I don't know where are the other comments...

I've only one critic: The mouth of the girl is a little bit salient.

Nice picture, just not feeling the mouth....It kind of reminds me of Gary Busey with breasts...

ruM's OUT...

her nice big eyes give her a cute look, though her mouth and her hands let her down. I suppose she is supposed to have a relaxed grip on those flowers, though it seems with the fingers this loose, the flowers would slip straight through. Maybe define her knuckles just a little. Looks like the inside edge of her mouth is to sharp, she needs fuller lips. teeth placement looks a little odd, could be because of the mouth shape...

first off, great skin texture.... the only real crit is that the distance between the base of the neck and her breasts looks odd, and the way the neck slopes down to the shoulders.... it's really impressive though... good work!

What it is I think is that the teeth are in a mouth closed position while the mouth itself is slightly opened. This way the mouth gets a weirdo upperlip pose. Highten the teeth a bit, maybe.

I photoshopped the mouth abit hope you don't mind, just to illustrate.

I don't have any problems with the hands. Their plumbness fits nicely with the rest of the character I would say.

Great stuff

Hey, Unlikely Corny, thanks for the illustration showing where I went wrong with the teeth. That'll be a big help when revising.

Here's the revisions on the mouth, plus a few other minor touch-ups here and there. I did some slight highlighting on the knuckles as well.

I also did some shading underneath the bottom lip because the translucency seemed a little exaggerated there.

As always, C&C welcome.
