View Full Version : Shotgunner
mridulsen 07-11-2009, 07:50 PM Hi Guys ,
This is a WIP render in which I am working still. Also I am in a hurry to complete for the final result. My plan is to make a nextgen Gaming character with sufficient poly budget which I am going to update very soon. Your suggestions are really important to me as it will make me more strong in my upcoming works.

I was fortunate enough to do a shotgun load out recently. I had ton of ref. on shotgun guys,
From my experience, the guy right now is looking more like a millitary guy as oppose to this guy is a "shotgunner"
Check this out and maybe you can get some ideas

Just the more ref. you have the better it will read. Cheers.

Actually I intentionally did not putted full dresses as I wanted to show his physic a bit. This Shotgunner concept is not like any regular Shotgunner or probably I unable to put appropriate name for him. But definitely one shotgun and ammo will be added. I am sure Your reference images will help me to improve my concept. Again thanks .....

I think the creases of the clothing are a little exagerated in areas as your trousers dont tend to crease like that near the crotch and back side but on the whole i think the model looks good maybe need to look at minor details which people may pick up on.

Great job so far!
Your overall anatomy and all the details are really good.
A few crits for you:
-The cavity on the back of his neck is too pronounced and too deep. Soften that up a bit.
-He is really really tall and lean. I did a quick measurement and he is about 8.5 heads tall (the average person is something like 6 heads...even heroic superheroes are usually only 7-7.5) I think most of that extra height is coming from his legs, so maybe try to shorten them some and see what happens.
-Your cloth is really good, but the area on the back of his legs around his butt looks odd. Can't quite place my finger on it...maybe you need more horizontal folds and less vertical.
