Hey Guys...

Thank you for your helping rush...

I'm really looking for critiques to improve my works here...

I'm reaching a point where I don’t know what to do more...

It seems I'm stuck with my imagination and my techniques...

Here I was thinking of a scene that shows the beauty of Chinese houses in canyon environments and fogs…Inspired by Kung Fu Panda…

I started with pencil sketch drawing scanned it and start working from there on Photoshop cs3…

I’m not happy with my Semi-final product…Something there is wrong....

Any Help would be great…

Note: Please feel comfortable and tell what is on your mind…No offences will be taken…

I’m learning… And willing to improve….

Thanks Guys…

I'm learning matte painting myself but I think ..

1) Your aerial perspective is messed up big time. You have more or less the same colour vaules for first and second plane of the pic.

2) I would add more colors. As I can see you basically have 2 colors and 2 values for each of them. You should Google evening skies and see there what kind of colours you can find there...There is more than jst yellow/orangish.

3) Your depth/linear perspective (if that is the correct term) is messed up, and focal point is aiming towards the rock and not on the monastery. Its ok that the building is smaller in the backround, but I would suggest you find another way of setting up the wholle image so that your natural focus wouldnt rest on rocks.
It would be a good idea at this point to look how pros solve these kind of situations and rearrange the whole thing accordingly jst for the sake of practice.

I think you should place the house in a better way on the rock....it seems as if it has been picked up by some monster from some place & placed on that rock.....as if it can fall any moment......I liked the clors in ur matte ......thers something different abt colors in ur matte & I feel it could me more enhanced.....:applause:

Hey There InnerUniverse:

=D

Thank you so much for you Critiques...

So mainly I've missed up with the proportions of my scene...Am I get it right?!!

So If I started by perspective grid and a focal point it will get the elements in good positions…

It’s just I love drawing directly…Without Having Guide lines…

I’ll check skies footages too…I appreciate your help man…

;)

Thank you….
