How do i make it so my converted poly flag to cloth waves like it would in real life?I want something like a randon wve and not something that looks too repeated.

Here's an older test I did with softbodies for a flag. The key to getting a realistic motion is to animate the magnitude of the "Air" field.

That looks like exactly what im lookin for.So it looks like you had turbulance, wind, gravity all working together to make it look so real.

Is that a nurbs plane made softbodie with Fields to them?

Hey Floyd,My scene aint commin out like it liked.I have to up the wind to 2000 mag just to get it to move ok.I select both field and softbodied object and apply "affect selected objects".

Bottom line is that it aint looking like yours even though its pretty much the same thing.Anything that you think i could of missed?

Could you upload the file? I'll take a look at it.

What's happening exactly? You'll have to paint the weights on the flag so that only one side gets the effect of the fields, otherwise the whole flag will blow away.

As you can see from my scene file, it looks like nothing like the one i seen from you before.I tried to adjust the weights of the softbodie but for some reason it wouldnt let me.

On your scene the flag was waving up and down. What effect was that?

I also tried this, but I don't seem to get the same results as Floyd Bishop... I followed this: http://www.wingman.ca/web/Flag.htm but seems like I'm missing something here
Everything "explodes" after some frames, doesn't seem to hang in there as it's supposed to... Ideas anyone... What's the best way to do this and check the results as we go through the process?
