Nice environment and smooth animation. I liked it, but it seems a little slow at times.
The cinematogrphy could use some work, some of the cuts are weird (when the red ball first arrives, there should be a close up to see the characters reaction before he decides to pick it up, the way it is edited right now looks choppy).
I' not sure that repeating the first sequence really works. Maybe with some other elements changing.
Again, nice work.
One las comment (and this is subjective, so don't take it the wrong way), but I have seen this same story so many times I think there is nothing to make it new. I think a large percentage of short films deal with the same exact subject, with the exact same metaphor. Even using the color light in the black and white environment. I believe you did this without copying anyone, but it is clear that this is one of the first ideas to come to every animators head, so maybe next time you should look a little further.

Tanks
I must agree with you in you critics. Anyway i like the story even if its cliche.
And again thanks for the weary good critics.

I happen to disagree w/coboman, and everyone has his/her opinion/s.
"...alittle slow at times" well not every animation is a fast pased action (on the edge of ur seat crap hollywood is feeding people) i mean look at old movies. if you play an old western movie for today's audience they will not stand it because of the slow pace.
i think the slow pace works, and shows that (day in day out) he goes to work, works, comes back....same thing over and over again. it works for me (no pun intended)
cuts are ok, no camera movement is no a bad thing
" there should be a close up to see the characters reaction " he has no face, that's the point of the animation. it's fine the way it is (for now) unless he was to add a face (dont') or you could put an exclamation mark on top of his head but it might not fit in the piece.
one thing: the wheel could be very very big to show how hard they're working (nothing to improve just a different approach)
and i really want to know what the red thing does to him?? does he get sucked into a different world?? alien takeover??? death?? wuts going on, i know it's up to the audience to decide but i wanna know wut u think.

Hey man, The sound is nice! :D
But seriously, does this use any particular codec? I am only getting sound, no video?

OK, the pace and the story are subjective points so every opinion is a valid one.
But the cut when he picks up the ball (and other cuts within the piece), shows little contrast between one composition and the next. This is bad editing, and I think it should be corrected.
The idea to place a close up to show the characters reaction is only a suggestion. It could be a close up to the ball, or even a cut to the scene as it is but changing the camera angle. There has to be more contrast between the shots or the cut looks like a jump.

coboman: I dont wont to go back and make any changes to the film. I like it as it is. I agree with you that the cut wehn he picks up the stone could have been better but i think it works ok.

Morten_Jensen: Thanks :)
stealth: No i have not seen this film before but i am downloading it right now it looks totaly cool. But i guess my main source of inspirations comes from the Tim Burton movie "The Nightmare Before Christmas" which is my favorite movie. And i am a big fan of clay and puppet animation.
