View Full Version : Manipulating FK keys on FBIK rig in Graph Editor?

Hi,

I've been using the fbik rig to animate for quite a while now, and have become used to alot of its quirks. However, there's one problem i've never found a solution to, and thought it a good idea to see if i was missing something obvious, or even if this is possible.

When setting keys on the Fbik rig the IK keys seem to be set on the effectors, and the FK keys seem to be set on the little fk skeleton created by the fbik rig. If i set the reach on an effector to 0,0 then that part of the body does what the keys on the fk skeleton is set to. This is all good.

However, if i select the fk skeleton joints and start manipulating the keys in the graph editor the rig moves, but the body doesn't. If i then scrub the time bar it jumps to the changed position. Is there a way to make the body move in realtime with the keys on the fk skeleton as i manipulate their values in the graph editor?

The fact that it doesn't do this makes it really difficult to tweak the values and timings of the fk keys, as it becomes guess work as to what the tweaks in the graph editor are doing, until you scrub the time bar.

Any help would be a god send!
