Hi all, this is my pre-visualization and concept sketch for my entry into the Secret Agent contest. I wanted to focus on a time period, in which espionage was used, that didn't automatically pop into mind every time someone mentioned secret agent. I started doing research on ancient Rome and how their use of spies or secret agents played a vital role in their conquest of other nations. These are just preliminary sketches and hopefully I'll have something more fleshed out real soon.

Ok, so I'm pretty much done with figuring out the time period and the general look of the character. So, now it's on to the scene itself. The problem at hand is to show the audience that my character is in fact a secret agent. This scene depicts him jumping out of a window with a satchel full of papyrus while arrows come flying out behind him.

This scene shows my Roman agent in disguise as a manservant, pouring out poison from the compartment in his ring onto the leader's/emperor's cup.

This scene shows my Roman agent on a window sill about to jump out after fulfilling his task of assassinating the opposing faction's leader, when he gets caught by the guards. I'm either leaning towards this scene, since I came up with a pretty cool backstory to it. Or the poisoning of the cup scene, since it shows gadgetry of that time period. What do you guys think?
