I thought this would be helpful to show what plugins are out there for Cinema 4D and are compatable with R11.

The main plugin list is in two parts, upper and lower with ZPainter being at the foot. Nearly all these plugins are fully functional, a few such as CaJenna which is similar to Maxons Mograph is serial tied to R9 ( and was freely given away), while others such as Turbulance are beta versions.

The material editor section has additional shader plugin's syou can compare with the demo.

As you can see there is alot of free plugins which I have collected over the years and nearly of them still working with R11.

If you have the names you should be able to find them on google when used in conjunction with words such as C4D or Cinema 4d plugin's Cinema 4D shaders etc..

hm...

I think the jpg compression and the size of the screenshots makes it a little tidyous to read .. why not post a png and photoshop it in one long list ...

you should also mention that you are aperently running on 32 bit, hence i see some plugins that are 32bit only and dropped out of my pipeline for that case ...

and thirdly I am a little bit crumped that you do not have our plugins installed ...

Why not post a ZIP archive with all of them? I doubt they are all easy to find.

This is what I would like ;).

Wow. If you've got all those plugins loaded, you might benefit from my forthcoming (free) app to help manage C4D plugins. Link here (http://www.microbion.co.uk/graphics/c4d/pib.htm) for anyone interested.

Sounds like a great idea! As a plugin dev, I often have to shuffle plugins in and out to avoid non-unique plugin ids (the test ids mainly) or for testing purposes. What are you writing it with?

You have added consideration that plugins can be installed in both the Cinema 4D plugins folder as well as the Users folder *somewhere* (R11) - forget exactly where offhand?

Well, for copyright / redistributing reasons I don't have the authority to do that unless otherwise authorised ;)

As you can see I have made the listing easyer to see. Oh and yes I do have a few of your very nice plugins.

Yeah you are correct these plugins are running under 32 bit version of Windows.

That would be great to have that. The plugin listing drops well below the bottom of the screen even at 1900x1200 resolution so reducing font size is the only way to compensate.

Look forward to seeing it :)

Thanks Robert. It should make plugin developers' life a little easier, I hope, although it was written to be useful to anyone with lots of plugins.

It's written in C# using the .NET 2.0 framework, so right now it's Windows only. But it should be fairly easy to port to a Mac, using something like Mono, if anyone would like to do that. There aren't any very Windows-specific features other than registry access.

Yes, the app takes account of plugins in both the main plugins folder and the user's application data folder. The user has to set the location of this manually (there doesn't seem any way to get it programatically) but you only have to do it once.

It's basically complete now and I'll put up a beta soon for anyone who'd like to try it.

Nice list Srek, though contributing here would take some considerable research and faffing about looking for URL's and checking compatibility with different operating systems ;).

With the list I have I know from my own testing that they will not crash Cinema 4D thought I would stress to pepple that they should check the plugin's are not causing any problems before starting any major projects.

Also, these plugins were aquired legitimately for free at the time of aquiring them. The list you have there are listing commercial plugins in addition to a few of the free ones.

It's a general list of CINEMA 4D plugins and not limited to comemrcial or free plugins.

The total size of all the plugins in the folder is 302 MB, though there may be pdf manuals that use quite alot of space. So uploading them anywhere even if I wanted to ( or was even allowed to ) would take considerable time. I am not authorised to distribute these plugin's without the written permission of the copyright holder.

Most of the old plugz that still work on Windoz [.cdl] and PPC Mac [.xdl] will not work on MacIntels [which require .dylb]. But some coffee [.cob, .cof] plugz still work fine.

I keep a working copy of r8.5 on my old G4 just to be able to run my old PPC Mac plugins.

Loading the Ca Jenna plugin is not a problem, everything shows up as it does in earlyer versions. The problem lays in the code registration bit which enables full functionality. I have looked at ways to circumvent it to make it work with R11 however ;)
