Hi all, I'm using CS2. I know how to make an action to resize for width and height...is there a way to do this for file size? I need to make a bunch of images 100k or less.

Hi,

yes there is an option of creating/recording the action with a couple of steps:

1. resize the image to desired proportions (ie. 640x480)
2. go to file > save for web and devices > and there on top in CS4 is a little dropdown menu (usually shows options in other panels), which gives you the possibility to set the "optimize to file size / desired file size" where you set 100kb
3. save the image

4. batch play the action on your pictures

Also, you need to process the batch tool with "override action save-as commands" on.
