It's a regular old human. I have it on see through so you can see the bones, I haven't applied the HI solvers yet.

Thr clavicle bones have an odd position, I suggest to bring the root more inwards and a bit down. There is a gap between upper arm and lower arm and they aren't aligned properly to each other. The spine consists of only two bones, add at least one. The thighs should start almost on top of the hip, not way below.
To put it bluntly: no, it's not a good setup. Lot of work to do.

I really need to get started on the skin process. I made the adjustments that were posted, I really don't know what else I can do to make it better

I suggest to put in some twist-bones in the forearm (3 is a good number), as it really helps to give a good deformation on the forearm. Depending on the topology you might wanna put in one upper arm twist as well. So far looks good
How about putting the knee joints at the knees. Also your tail bone should point the other way.
I would suggest having a look at my rigging DVD series at http://cg-academy.net I think that would get you a lot of help.
