View Full Version : Netrender terminating on attached file
cridalab 07-07-2009, 07:53 AM hello,
I am having trouble net rendering the attached (zipped) max file. When I render it normally it works, but when I use net render I get ”an unexpected exception has occurred in the network renderer and it is terminating”.
I am able to net render my other max files, so I was wondering if there is something special with this max file that is causing the error.
thanks,
Richard

Please provide the your max and backburner versions. Have you installed all the patches?
For example: The standard install of max 2009 does not net render if the view cube is visible in the submitted scene, but there's a hotfix for it...

hello,
I have 3ds 2009 32-bit, release 11.0 educational.
According to the "Add or Remove Programs" dialog I have Hot Fix 2 2008.04.24
The Backburner version is 2008.1.0.270 and doesn't appear to have any "hot fixes".
Do those versions look OK?
It seems strange that I can render the previously attached file directly in 3ds max fine, but when I try indirectly through Backburner I get an error.

I see there's a bunch of hotfixs and a full service pack

I'm not using 2009 yet, so I'm not sure...

I can render this file now with backburner! Solution explained here (http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?p=5979592#post5979592).
