Do you have some tips about making materials for cars with Brazil... the paint, glass, headlights... etc.
I DID read the manual, know what function do what, but if you have and experienced tip...

My car here: http://www.crystalmadness.com/wip06.php is using Brazil materials (glass, crome and car metal).
What seems to be the problem?

How to get rid of refraction on the glass material and get only tranparency? To put IOR on 1? I think that slows down the rendering :(
Can I use standard MAX materials withe reytrace maps with Brazil... I mean does raytrace map has some dissadvantages to Brazil's reflection or it's the same?

if you have problems getting the desired results with these special shaders i suggest you try the advanced material, you can do pretty much everything with it.. plus it has the brazil raytraced reflections which ARE a lot faster than the max's raytrace map

Keep in mind, that glass needs to have thicknes. Rays brake when they hit the top side and correct themselfs when they enter through the bottom side.
Get the solidify plugin.
BTW I use default IOR setting.. 1.56 or something.
