2009 VFX demoreel

Hi there,

The start of your reel (the actual work) looks nice, but the editing is really bad. All the flashing/fading to black to the music gave me a headache and I just had to turn it off.

I'd suggest just showing your work instead of trying to edit the video to a beat...especially when the editing is really hard on the eyes. It serves no absolutely purpose other than frustrating the viewer.

Hello dear ivanisavich . First of all i should thanks you about watching my try .As you said the editing is not showing the works well . But that is what i can do . I accept your opinion and i hope to find a time to modify it . I uploadded the HD version on Vimeo with a little bit of modify . Hi,

Good work. I agree with ivanisavich about the editing. It makes it very hard to watch. Also I would add titles specifying what you did in every shot. Did you model, texture and lit the CG assets? Did you paint the matte paintings? Did you make the FX? the compositing, etc. Right now your post says FX artist but in your reel says CG artist. I don't know if you are a generalist or a VFX artist.

Also the reel is too long. A lot of the shots showcase the same skills. You can have a more dynamic and more enjoyable to watch demo reel if you can trim it down to around a minute and a half.

Hello my dear David-J . It seems the editing has lots of problem which surely hurt the reel . I accepte that and i`m trying to fix it very fast ... :curious:
