Hi all,

I'm looking for a job as a concept artist or production illustrator for animation or video games and I'm just working on building up my environment illustration portfolio at the moment.

I posted the roughs for this series a while back and just finished the first 2 color illustrations (4 more to go).

The illustrations are awesome, but the composition on the second one isn't very dynamic for me. It just looks too balanced, way too balanced off even tho it may not be perfectly...

I'd like to know the details behind these concept drawings.

You've got a real nice animated feel for the clouds, I dig those, I'm into animation too.

I'd like to see some character work posted, if you've got it.

Thanks for the feedback. I still have 4 more to finish, so I'm going to leave these alone until I have them all done. I know what you mean about the balance on the second one, but I'll just have to see if I have time to modify it later.

These illustrations are a series that are loosely connected as environments for a children's fairy tale set in China. The story itself isn't really very developed, it's just serving more as a personal portfolio exercise for me.

good stuff. i like the colors alot.
one thing bothers me. the second pic, the buildings on both sides are in symmetry... they looked the same!. only that it's flipped horizontally.
