WOW im first!!! anyways.... i like the concept and all... i just think the girl is really really skinny "her right" or the left 1 in the image especially... also the cape should have more shadow, its facing away from the sun... so light shouldnt be shining so much on it...at all.. but good positioning and modeling and title w/ it

In my oppinion there is some little problem. First of all I agree with NegatOry. On the other hand I think there would be more Bump Map, and the Blur level of the textures is too high. There is another little prolem with the compositing. In this case there is a wrong camera view. The a sky extension is too large. But the good camera view, you can correct it.

These are all of my critics.

Good work!

Well i'll just dive right in. The cape thing really needs an anchor, cause is it stands, uit looks like its the ttail end of the head covering, and if that is the case, that thing must be HEAVY. No light shining through the cloth, the bump on the cloth looks like stone rather than actual cloth, though i suppose if you reduced the bump amount it could work. Either way with that cape thing turn down the bump, that texture makes it look like thick thick cloth. If its a cape, definatly have it be tied around the neck, if its the headwear end its way too wide.
The arms are way too thing for the thickness of the body. The right hand is pretty still, definatly needs some curled fingers, bend in hand something to give it more realism. If it was that windy would you have your hand like that? Also, the left hand (while needing to be thicker) needs a better "grip" on the pole, doesn't really look right.
If its that windy the cape thing would have more ripples, definatly. Same with the clothes, shirt n pants are NEVER flat when being worn unless they're (i forget the name, like you see in those aerobic videos, spandex?). With a wind like you've got portrayed the deformations for the shirt would be more near the bottom and on the left shoulder, and definatly on the pants too. The necklace will be being pushed to the right of the screen too.
Lessen the blur on the background and take the blur off the face (weither its intentional or just a bad pic i dont know). A nice touch would be to have random hairs coming from under the head covering being pushed by the wind. Try wraping your own head and see how well your hair would stay under it (unless you got like really short hair, then ask your mom/girlfriend/some random stranger), and then imagine you got a good steady wind gust blowin ya.

Decent start though. Keep at it.

wow good effort.....but the proportion of the girl seems like not right...the arms are too small!! the cloth looks very stiff!!! the hair as well!!!:wip:

Thanks for the excellent comments guys they really helped me out alot, i've been working with cg for just under a month so i'm still kind of new to all of this. :)

I've fixed up a few of the things mentioned here. I made the hands a little more realistic, reduced the bump map on the cape and gave it a bit more flow, gave her hair and fixed up the depth of field a little. :)

I updated the image in my first post, or you can go to this link to see it. :)
