Hey all, havnt posted in a long time, just havnt had the time to. I started working on this a couple of days ago...im still fairly new to digital painting....its coming along but im having a problem with some stuff just floating above the rest...take the eyes and the side burns for instance. They pop too much...is it because the edges are too hard? Anyway if someone has any tips or a tutorial I can read on the subject id appreciate it. Thanks!

Hi,

This cartoony look is definately interesting. I think it would calm the eyes if you draw him looking towards the camera, and with normal sized pupils and iris. The sideburns are possibly too dark. It might help if you render it more like hair. Good luck :)

Hey thanks for the reply and helpful tips Marie. Heres an update, the only thing that bothers me now is that the one ear sticks out more than the other....oh well. maybe ill fix it maybe I wont. :P
