I plan a shot where the camera is on the tip of the outer ring and looking towards the planet(the ring would be seen stretching into the background).
So in the extreme foreground and on the lower half of the screen would be some debris floating by.
According to what i read, Saturn's rings are made of ice particles of various size.
I am not going for scientific accuracy. The illustrations I have seen of the ring ice shows massive chunks of stuff --its too distracting for the look i want.
Just little bits of stuff floating in the foreground that eventually fade into the normal appearance of the ring.
I made a cylinder and flattened it-then stuck a ramp on that-and got a decent overall ring effect. But the close up and blending with the background is the part I am uncertain about.
Suggestions or tutorials appreciated.
