Power station, energy recharge station, chamber. It has to be a prop that can recharge the players life. From the energy platform in Metroid, to the Vita Chamber in Bioshock. These stations should be man-sized and give them power/life. A good health chamber/station should clearly indicate that it's a health station, fit the time period it's in, easy to identify from a distance while not being too garish (unless you're making a 60's/70's retro chamber...).

Rules

400 Triangles max
512x1024 of texture space max. Divide it however you want, but total texture space should be 512x1024. Diffuse, spec, normal, whatever. No displacements, obviously. You may use just a diffuse if that makes you tingle.
The finished product should show a beauty shot, wireframes and all texture sheets.
The contest ends Wednesday, July 8th at 11:59 pm (in your local timezone to keep things from being too confusing). The winner will be announced on Thursday, July 9th.

Good luck everyone!

Since noone else seemed to be competing I ended up pooping this out real quick as opposed to fighting for something. Fun nonetheless

360 tris, and a touch less than the 512sx1024 total.

GradiusCancer: Nice model and all around interesting composition. I like the energy sparks and lighting shows off the shapes/normal maps well. And you submitted something. The diffuse is not as sharp as it could be with the space you have. Although next time don't pull a high res model from your archive as a source ;).

And the Winner is GradiusCancer!!

Slow your roll there, smalltime. This is all original modeling from scratch.

http://chrisholden.net/desklamp.jpgSounds like you had the high poly desklamp already. If I am wrong, then I appologize.

Hey Chris, we want to keep the MGAC going on a quick turn around. Can you get something up by tomorrow, if not we will get a new one up for you.
