Can somebody please explain in simple terms? :hmm:

It cuts a value at a low and high user defined value.
For example, say that you have a texture with values coming it of it that are higher than 1 you could use the clamp node to cut off all values above 1.
Or if you have an animation curve that goes from 0-40 , you can use clamp to make all values above 20 become 20.
