Wow go Spain!! The lighting and quality of the renders is superb! These guys have done an amazing job and it actually looks good fun. I'll go see it. Dare I say it actually looks better than some of the stuff Dreamworks has been doing of late.

Wow, I thought this looked great ever since you seeing those fantastically rendered first images a while ago. It's a real relief that the quality of the animation matches the quality of the renders after seeing that trailer. The script sounded really good as well! (Loved the 'You're my only hope' / 'You want me to take you to your flying saucer' back-referencing).
Go Ilion!

Pete.

Excelent trailer! The quality is very high - looks like something produced by one of the bigger studios, and lots of fun.

Congrats to the Ilion team - looking forward to it.

Thanks for the feedback!

If you want to know more about the company and the film you can search this forum discussions for "planet 51" and "ilion" for example. Also take a look at Ilion website (http://www.ilion.com/ ).
There are some TV reports but all in Spanish and not really interesting enough for artist and technical people I think. If you want I can put the links here.

I hope there will be some interviews and articles before the film will be released in November.

Fun! Definitely seeing that....and yeah, agree with the Dreamworks comment, the big D's character design has taken a dive off the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down....I base this wholly on Monsters Vs Aliens and the upcoming superhero film they got going.

I had already seen this second trailer on the site, but it has been a real pleasure to watch it again (and again) in HD. Pause it on any frame, and the quality is absoloutely amazing. The attention to detail has been pixar-ish... and it all started here from a spanish studio. I feel really happy for them, as I think they've created a very interesting piece. It's going to be a long wait till November.

Wow! I though Sony was working on this one. Even more impressive coming from a less seasoned movie studio.

In my extremely biased opinion (i worked on it, too) the best quality cg coming from Europe so far.
It be really great for Europe to have a successfull cg animation.

Hey guys,

I think I can talk on behalf of the studio when I say how much all this positive feedback means to us. :)
A lot of work has been put into this project, so I really hope you guys like the final result.

To clarify just in case, Sony bought the distribution rights to the film, but the film was made by ilion Animation studios here in Madrid, Spain.

Thanks!

:D.
