View Full Version : Zero One Animation: "A Day in Pompeii" Exhibtion @ Melbourne Museum

Hey guys, just thought I would share some work we recently completed to be part of the "A Day in Pompeii" Exhibition at Melbourne Museum and then traveling around the world.
We completed a 7 minute immersive stereoscopic installation produced for the Melbourne Museum showing the destruction of the town Pompeii when Mount Vesuvius erupted.
We had a great time making this and were all extremely happy with the way it turned out!
The whole project was done with 3dsmax using Vray, FumeFX, Afterburn, Pflow Box 2 and Box 3, Rayfire and Grant Adam's RPmanager and composited in Fusion.

Nice work bro, I took a course a few years ago on Pompeii and Herculaneum and I wish we had some sick videos like that. Also I love the fact that its in stereoscopic 3d I just wish I could watch it with my 3d Vision.

Unfortunately we cant post the final animation at the moment as it is being shown at the Melbourne Museum... sorry!

Just saw the exhibition today and it was very interesting. I love seeing historic recreations and this was a pretty cool one. The only thing I can say is that I would love to see the HD version on computer when the exhibition ends as the projection was nowhere near as clear and saturated as the screenshots :\
