View Full Version : Environment: Dark Outpost
Chris_Wallace 07-27-2003, 07:45 AM Here's one I did a while back. Just thought I would dust it off and show it since I have never shared it here before.
Cheers!

I like the lighting. I think it gives it a foreign feel to the picture. I would, however, sugguest making the sky less-cluttered. The start ship AND two planets kind of dominate an otherwise cool-looking nebular-type sky.
BTW...That starship is familiar to me...have you modeled a lot of startships before?
Looks good!

The picture has potensial, but you need to prehaps
- add some textures to the housing stuff close to the camera.
- add some blur to the windows, and maybe make some variations in the color.
- The ground texture looks really blurred.
- And please change the rather ugly neon yellow text to something that does'nt burn your eyes at first glance
But then again, this is an old picture, so you probably knew all this shit already.

heh, to me it looks like ...you know when ur watching a movie and some of them are REALLY dark, and you want to kill the director for making the movie so dark *you can't make 0ut anything* then the movie ends and ur kinda satisfied cuz it was an ok movie...
that's what i see in this picture, i actually like the mood

There's no depth as everything looks like it's in the same area planets included. Show some sense of depth and I think you'll start improving the pic.
