Hello there,
I've created some clips from my scenes and have done a Demo Reel, no for casting my almost null abilities as animator but to show how my scenarios are inside. Would be pleased to get some crits please.

No any radiosity engine was used in this video.
Medium rendering time was about 10 minutes/frame.

Sorry for so big filesize (18 Mb).
Greetings,

Carles Piles

P.S. I realised that attachment is so small that I'm not able to recognize anything there, so I've edited the message to place a link for a bigger image. Sorry.

Awesome! Now I'm able to see little flythroughs to some of your greatest renderings - absolutely cool.

Slimz, I promise my next stage will be learn more organic modelling and CA animation so my next reel will contain more living elements.
Thanks Oktavian for the accompliment, and Mr. Siquier, my next composition will be not classic so maybe we could turn on the sequencer and play togheter for a while, I miss having any good electric guitar in my no classic compositions ;)

Thanks,
Carles

Cinema 4D
Mostly maps are free textures or photos rebuilt in Photoshop but I also used alot of textures from libraries as prima matter.

For static images I used alot a dirt shader, but don't was used here because it cast noise when animated and must be baked first, so I removed it because would be so many work baking all objects from scratch. Difference is not very noticeable really.

In the other hand some maps are aged in photoshop. Also I've used fractal noise for bump and diffusion frequently.

Yes you are right. A fake radiosity tutorial was done using this scene and yes, original scene includes a musketeer walking.

Problem was about how to do this walking gentleman while one (me) never had animated a character ;)
I've done a test but as I expected I realised that can't be possible learning character animation in a few days, CA it's a entire world itself, so best choice for me was to remove it from scene :(

Maybe I'll place this gentleman for the version, when I'll learn enough of CA within one or two hundreds of years :D :D :D

Here is the difference:

Don't deserve so many work (baking all objects) I think.

You already know what I think of this reel : It is really good, the waterlooks very realistic and everything is very well modeled.

Good job

Crazygui: Thanks for your feedback.
Gary hsu: Also thanks, about suggestions, maybe pay attention to all small details (takes more time for conceptualice and modelling), hard work with textures (gets more time), any lighting study using many renders (more time)... finally, seems all needed is just TIME ;)
(Those scenes taken an huge amount of hours really)
