I have a character Rig Setup for Maya 5 thats basically a ToonRig it has elastic arms and legs. Spline Curve for the Spine and Various Ik/FK controls. I havent established the dummy objects yet. I was wondering if I can get some feedback about the rig. Also some recomendations on setting up dummy objects would be cool. Import into a new scene..... http://www.cgtoons.com/assets/Weasel_Toonrig-0.6.mbhttp://www.cgtoons.com/assets/Images/Characters/Weasel-Rig.jpg

i'm impressed with what i've seen so far (still have a ways to go). I've got a question tho. I've been using Maya since version 1 - and I'm seeing something for the first time now that i've just started using Maya 5 (specifically your rig in Maya 5).

I'm seeing different colors in the fields of some of the attributes in the channel box. Sure, i've seen the customary orange for keys or other types of connections, and the grey for attributes that are locked, but now i'm seeing yellow fields and blue fields. What does it all mean?? Seriously tho, Mayajuana (or anyone else for that matter), if you could enlighten me as to what these new colors mean, i'd be really grateful. thanks.

I believe they are color coding to differentiate between keyed fields and expression driven fields...

I've fixed quite a few buggy elements with the rig but its much more stable now please redownload to keep your rig up to date. I've also included a readme file.

In regards to the colors its a very good way to distinguish connections instead of the usual reds everyone is used to

purple = expression connection
Blue = Constraint connection
yellow = direct attribute connection

oh by the way, i love the sarcasm in your readme file, because why would you ask for feedback on your rig, and then write in your readme file that we can't "analyze" your rig?

ha ha, good one

welll its really dont want people reverse engineering the setup, even if they tried it would take them hella to re create it.
