View Full Version : Unwrap/Material ID... Texture help... yarrr

I did a search on here and cannot find the answer to the question, more like problem that I'm having.

I have created a character and Im ready to texture. Below are the images to help explain and show where Im going and what Im either doing right, or wrong.

I created the character and applied multiple material IDs to each the head, arms, torso, and legs. Head with cylindrical map, the rest with planar.

I then went ahead and collapsed the stack because I want to export a single map in which to paint on using Photoshop. But after I collapse and apply the unwrap, within the edit unwrap window, I get the following:

Why is that none of the IDs have the unwrap I used. All the IDs are seperated but not the way I chose. (do I make sense?)

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Im so lost and have been trying for a couple hours now, including searches. Ive followed tutorials but I get what I just described above.

Also, isnt there supposed to be a couple check boxes here:

Nevermind, I figured out what i wasnt doing... meshselect from the modifier stack for each element before going on to collapsing.... please feel free to stamp MORON onto my forehead... thanks anyway.
